I love to go to my garden in the early morning and sit for a while.  I bring a book and coffee, though after a few minutes, I simply sit and enjoy the air, a slight breeze wafting the fragrance of what is now in bloom.  This morning, the book was Carrie Saxifrage’s recently published “The Big Swim” and the fragrance was from Clematis montana ‘Mayleen’.  A climbing vine spread out over three meters along a five foot high fence; soft pink flowers, petals billowing, the fragrance inviting me to breathe deeply.  A delightful way to begin the day!
